Kealakekua Hale Accommodations
|
|
“Hale” means house in Hawaiian and we embrace the idea of Kealakekua
Hale being the island home of all who come to stay. If you have ever visited the
Kona coast or watched the sunset in the islands it is certain that at some point
you said to yourself “wouldn‘t it be nice to live here.” Well, this is the origin
of Kealakekua Hale; it started as a private residence but soon it seemed inappropriate
to deprive such a welcoming home of residents all year round. Today it is a vacation
home on a grand scale that sleeps ten and captures and promotes the aloha spirit.
Kealakekua Hale Amenities:
- Five spacious bedrooms, sleeps ten guests
- Five and one half well appointed bathrooms
- Living room and family rooms open onto ocean facing decks
- Dining room opens onto Lanai and Kealakekua Bay
- Full laundry room
- WiFi internet access throughout
While we would like to believe it was our collection of Hawaiian artifacts that
have made this a favorite spot for friends and family to reconnect, hold reunions,
celebrate anniversaries or just shut down for a time, we know the real attractions
are the location, the crystalline waters of Kealakekua Bay and the house itself.
Kealakekua Hale has five large bedroom suites. The Master Suite boasts a luxurious
King size bed while the other four bedrooms include Queen size beds (one which may
be split into two singles, if desired). There are five and a half bathrooms ensuring
privacy and maximum occupancy without crowding or jostling for sink space. And like
all great homes, the kitchen doubles as a gathering place to socialize as well as
prepare meals communally. Kealakekua Hale also benefits from expansive balconies
and verandas that open on to the garden or sea, perfect for napping during the midday
or watching the sunset over Kaawaloa Point (sacred resident area of ancient royalty
and the location where Captain James Cook met his death).
