Big Island Vacation Location

Hawaii is the largest of the eight islands in the Hawaiian chain, and Kealakekua
Bay is a large, protected inlet bisecting the Kona Coast (Kaawaloa; meaning – Ka
means The, awa means inlet and loa means large or long) on the western side of the
big island of Hawaii. The bay is home to Spinner dolphins, turtles, countless species
of tropical fish and the Captain Cook Monument. The nearby communities of Kealakekua,
Captain Cook, Honaunau, and Napoopoo make up the greater community of Kealakekua
Bay and they are home to a collection of local merchants that cater to the agricultural
and service industry as well as the 3,000 people that call Kealakekua Bay home,
and of course the guests of Kealakekua Hale.
